I had a very disappointing experience with this shop. I brought my SUV in because it was making a loud popping noise whenever I turned left or right, along with a creaking sound when going over bumps. The popping was loud and easy to hear.
Since Kenneth was away, his son Josh handled my vehicle. I was told they drove it on sharp turns and over bumps but couldn't hear anything except a slight creak on the rain drainage bump outside the shop. I found that very hard to believe because the popping noise was obvious every time I drove it.
They diagnosed the problem as bad struts and charged me approximately $1,300 to replace them and perform an alignment. I picked up my SUV, drove about five minutes down the road, and the popping noise came back immediately—except it was much worse than before I brought it in.
I returned to the shop right away. Josh and a mechanic stood in the office with me for about 15 minutes repeatedly saying, "I don't know what it could be." I asked what I was supposed to do moving forward after I had just spent $1,300 on a repair that didn't fix the problem. Instead of offering a solution, Josh came across as having an attitude with me and said he could just put the old struts back on, but that it would just cause more issues. That was not a reasonable response after I had trusted the shop's diagnosis and paid for the recommended repairs.
I decided to get a second opinion from another repair shop. They told me my struts did not need to be replaced at all and that the actual repair for the popping noise should cost around $300. Hearing that after paying $1,300 for a repair that didn't fix my problem was incredibly upsetting.
Based on my experience, I genuinely feel like I was charged for repairs my vehicle didn't need while the actual issue went unresolved. I spent $1,300 and drove away with the same problem—only worse. I cannot recommend this shop and would strongly encourage others to get a second opinion before agreeing to expensive repairs.
